Postcards from Europe:
Christmas

December 25, 2016

We spent the first half of Christmas at Cologne

We visited the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), walked along the Hohenzollern Bridge, then took a stroll around the city.

Interesting story I heard: the railway (bridge) is not straight because, in the past, whenever the king returned to town, he wanted to see the cathedral right straight ahead. So they built the bridge a little slanted so the cathedral would stand directly at the end of the railway.
